To register with the surgery

To register with our Practice you must completed both a GPR Registration form as well as the relevant lifestyle questionnaire. These can be collected from the reception or can be downloaded on the links below. Once complete these should then be either handed in, posted or emailed back to us at 5 Quality Street, Edinburgh EH4 5BP or loth.receptions70709@nhs.scot  Once these are received and processed you will be added to our Practice list within 2 weeks. We don’t offer routine new patient appointments however if you require repeat medication or have any concerns please speak with our Reception team to make an appropriate appointment.

Practice Manager – Davidsons Mains Medical Centre 
Position: Full-time, Permanent 
Salary: Competitive, £40k to £55k dependent on experience

Davidsons Mains Medical Centre is a patient-focused GP practice committed to delivering 
high-quality healthcare to our community. We are seeking an experienced and highly 
motivated Practice Manager to lead our team and support the strategic and operational 
development of the practice. 
About Us 
Set on the corner of Queensferry Road and Quality Street in the North West of Edinburgh, 
Davidsons Mains retains a village feel with local amenities including a post office, a bakery 
and supermarket. The Practice is very accessible with ample parking, and only a short bus 
journey to the city centre. There is a strong team ethos within the Practice, which is 
supportive, approachable, friendly and caring. The Practice also provides Medicals for the 
Maritime and Coastguard Agency as well as the UK Oil and Gas Industry.
The Role
The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and take responsibility for 
organisational leadership, service improvement and delivery of key targets. You will work 
closely with the GP Partners to ensure the smooth running of all business, financial, HR, IT, 
and patient service functions, enabling clinicians to focus on patient care. This is a key 
leadership role requiring vision, resilience, and excellent interpersonal skills. 
Person Specification
Essential
• Proven leadership and people management experience (minimum 2 years) 
• Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and payroll 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Strategic thinker with the ability to implement change 
• Proficient in IT systems and data governance 
• Highly organised, adaptable, and resilient under pressure 
Desirable: 
• Experience in NHS or primary care management 
• Relevant qualifications in business, HR, or finance 
• Knowledge of NHS Scotland systems and structures
